Known for her insight and straight talk, she’s helped large companies and solopreneurs take their brands to the next level and improve their businesses. She has unmatched experience in the home, media, retail, and design arenas.

Previously, she was the PR director for Elle Decor and Metropolitan Home, the Vice President of Marketing for the High Point Market, and has consulted with well-known brands such as the Showtime cable network, Christie’s auction house, Conde Nast, Mercanteinfiera Parma, Galerie Magazine, Bernhardt, International Market Centers, Hudson Publishing, Dallas Market Center, and more.

Cheminne has won many awards for her work, including EXCITE and Addy awards for marketing, a Women in the Home Industries Award (WithIt), and the Rayn international social media award for the High Point Market’s Style Spotters influencer campaign, topping competitors such as Acura, Verizon, and British Airways.

She believes in giving back to her community, as well. She serves on the board for ADL. She’s the chair emeritus for the Reading Connections literacy organization, where she also serves as a tutor. And she has served on the board for the Interactive Resource Center (IRC), a day center that supports the needs of the homeless. She also won the Volunteer of the Year award for the IRC in 2019.

What’s in a Name?

Pronounced shuh-MEN, it’s a name that has its roots in Spain and France. The name was inspired by a book about El Cid, whose wife’s name was Ximena. Yes, it’s pronounced basically the same way. And luckily for this Cheminne, hers isn’t spelled with an X. It’s already difficult enough as it is.

But you can’t say it isn’t memorable.

Giving Back

We are committed to giving back to the communities where we live and work, so we invest in charities that we believe in, and we support causes that mean something to us. We put our money where our hearts are, including the Interactive Resource Center, Reading Connections, Human Rights Campaign, Union of Concerned Scientists, and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
